The Bookmarc Range...

Our leathers, which are vegetable tanned and fully organic, are all finished to the high standards demanded both by ourselves and by bookbinders the world over.

All three ranges supplied by Bookmarc have been fully evaluated by highly respected binders and also by the Leather Conservation Centre in Northampton, UK. A full set of test results can be downloaded by selecting from the menu to the left.

The finish on the surface of the leathers has been formulated to facilitate all traditional methods of gold tooling, using either gold leaf or foil*. Click here to read Bernard Middleton's opinion of the Bookmarc range.

Please note that Bookmarc do not sell any of their products via eBay. Please beware of any cheaper but poorly / incorrectly tanned leathers you may see advertised on the internet.

*When tooling in blind, binders may prefer to use a coloured foil in order to achieve a darker impression.
